Oh Blogland, I Need Suggestions

What are your favorite workout DVDs? I am looking for something fun, challenging, and not too annoying (think Denise Austin). Since I am not running right now, I want to add some variety to my walking routine. I want a get a few of them to shake up the morning or when the weather is bad. I want a variety for cardio, strength, and flexibility. I am even willing to Sweat to the Oldies with Richard Simmons as long as Denise Austin is not mentioned. Here voice is like nails on the chalkboard.

ROFLMAO Carly! Love me some Richard! HAHAHHAAA

What about the On Demand channels? Exercise On Demand. They're free and there usually is a good selection of stuff to pick from. Belly dancing, Hip Hop Abs, etc . . .

Marcy is right. If you have Directv, then you may even have fit tv. I have dvr'd many shows, only to delete them because I'm only fooling myself! Hopefully, you can find something that suits you!

Sorry to hear you don't like Denise. I think I like her because her body type is very similar to mine (small upper body and not-so-small thighs) so it's kind of a realistic expectation for what I could hope to attain.

But anyway, if you want your butt kicked and to be really, really sore, try the Biggest Loser DVD's (seriously, I couldn't even get through the whole thing the first time). They're a good mix of cardio and strength. Or I really like the Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds (although she might be annoying for you, too if you don't like Denise- maybe see if they have one at your library to try out before you buy).

And I like Nan's suggestion- Fit TV is great.

Richard Simmons...now that's a name you haven't seen in a while. :-)

I cannot remember who does the Walk Away the Pounds series but you might like those. If it's Denish Austin I appologize in advance.

I got nothin. I have a library of workout dvd's at my house, but they are all collecting dust right now.

I'm a big fan of Jillian Michaels (biggest loser) 30 day shred. The workouts are 20 minutes only, there are 3 different levels so once you master one you can move on, it's HARD and I definitely saw results. Good Luck.

Sorry, I'm no help here. I don't have any workout DVDs.

What about the FIRM, I have the whole body sculpting system. If I was consistent with it I am sure I'd see results

Fit TV? Hmmm never knew it existed!! Now we both have to check it out! ;-) I have to agree about Denise...haha. Have you tried it without the sound? I dunno?! I'm starting to think about the next best thing for winter. I suppose I must find myself working out with my TV...lolz. I haven't done any of Richards before, so I'll check his out too. Thanks for the suggestion. My one and only suggestion for kicking ass is what everyone else suggested Biggest Loser dvds. I did one and found myself out of commision! Good luck find what you are needing and looking for!! :D Happy Monday!

Billy Blanks Boot Camp Elite for toning/strength; Billy Blanks Tae Bo for cardio. The original step video that came with the Reebok Step - features Gin Miller who invented step aerobics. Love 'em. And I'm with you on the Denise Austin thing.

Yes the on demand is good!

Have to laugh at Richard Simmons!

Never google Web MD - a little late to the post here I realize, everytime I have anything wrong I go on web md... it is always the worst case scenerio..... Everyone does it, yet we know we shouldn't.

I missed the cut off for the weight loss challenge... darn it! Does that mean I should still try with out officially being in the challenge... verdict is still out! lol.

I will second the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD. I just finished it, and it kicked my bottom! I was panting like an animal during the cardio like I haven't done since I started C25K 15+ weeks ago after not running for 10 years, LOL!
