(Not) Wordless Wednesday

I have never been one to ever be wordless so I don't know why I try. This photo above illustrates what happens when:
There is a speeding car driven by a teen boy who drops something on the floor, who then loses control of the vehicle because and ends up in our front yard (uphill).

This photo is after they pushed the car back down the hill and after SIX cops came. No one was hurt and my house is fine, but I think the driver is going to be grounded for a long long time. His mom had to come and pay for a tow truck.

My husband and I were laughing so hard we were crying. I don't know why we were laughing, probably because the whole thing was so STUPID. I went out and made sure everyone was fine and gave my little lecture about driving too fast for the conditions speech and kindly reminded the boys that going this fast on a residential street is NOT acceptable, then I pointed to my children who are often outside. Of course I had my camera the whole time, and took a bunch of photos and said....These are so going on Facebook. hahahaha!

My husband chases them (neighborhood speeders) down. Don't have kids but you could NEVER live with yourself if you hit a kid in a neighborhood, I swear. Great pix.

Glad everyone was ok. I'm waiting for that to happen outside of my house too... seems that ppl think that the stop sign at the corner is optional!

Hi there! Came across your blog through the blogging grapevine the other day, and I wanted to say hi! I'm a fellow WW'er and a runner :)

wow, that's crazy stuff. especially sliding like that into your yard. we live at the bottom of a hill, and people always come down the hill too fast. but that's why my kids don't play in the street.

I can hardly wait for my son who's 13 now to grow up and start driving!
Ugh, good times ahead!

Great pics - those speeding cars always make me nervous when I'm out running on my road too. Not paying attention and going too fast . . .

This is a great story! NOthing like a little excitement in the 'hood to stir up a quiet winter day!

That kid is SO grounded....

Carly, I like your style! Years from now the boy might not remember the grounding as much as YOU taking pictures and possibly posting them on Facebook. Too funny.

That photo is AFTER they pushed it down! Wow! That kid had some momentum. I'm glad no one was hurt.

HOLY COW!! but LMAOOO someone is going to be grounded for a long time. Glad that everyone and everything at your house was OK.

People need to slow down in these conditions...even teenage boys!

Ah...I was one of those crazy kids. Last year. At age 24. I overestimated my driving ability on an icy freeway and spun right off into a ditch. Luckily it was just my car...and no one was around to take Facebook bound pictures. I hope his mom makes him repay the tow bill. That along with the lecture and paparazzi skills of a stranger should amount to one lesson he won't want to learn twice!

That's great!! :) It does make me really angry though that people drive all crazy fast on a residential street. It's crap. There are CHILDREN!

I am with you on the not being wordless. I don't think I could ever do it. So I certainly don't fault you for the non-wordless wednesday.

That picture is classic. People who drive too fast in bad weather piss me off, though. I hope that kid learned his lesson. I love that it's right in front of a no parking sign. Ha ha.
