Lacking and Slacking

I am lacking blog material.
I am lacking time.
I am lacking workouts.
I am lacking energy.

Lacking energy is a complete understatement. I have been feeling super run down lately, to the point of having to sit down after taking a shower. My C25K workouts seem to be getting harder rather than easier. I decided it was time for a trip to the doctor. She took gallons some blood and the tests revealed that I am very Anemic. It wasn't a surprise as I was turned away from the Red Cross Blood Drive because of low hemoglobin.

I am now taking an iron supplement as well as eating an iron rich diet with the hope that my levels inch up toward normal. I am still working out, but I am cutting myself a little extra slack. I have NEVER been this tired in my whole life.

I have nothing exciting to blog about except my poor quality of blood. Work has been crazy and when I am at home my little buggers seem to be demanding my attention (the nerve!).

Ohhhh (((HUGS))) Carly! I totally understand (except for not to the that extent) I hope you start poppin those iron tabs asap and start feeling on the ups :-)

hope your start feeling like your normal self again! i don't know how anemia/low iron feels but i hate getting low-blood sugar when i haven't eaten in awhile. i imagine your version is worse? :-/

Hope the iron kicks in soon. The only time I've had to sit down after taking a shower was when I was pregnant (or REALLY hung over LOL). Feel better soon!

I was gonna guess anemia before you said it, but I'm glad you were proactive and went to the doctor right away.

You have to weigh the pros and cons though.

Pros: Energy Levels through the roof!

Cons: More children.

Oh, I am so sorry you feel so sick! Iron, huh. I am so proud of you to keep working out through this...that is how I fell off the wagon and I have yet to jump back on. I will though, when this new CRACK called sleep lets go of it's grip on me...I probably need detox.

Hope you still got to go out last night...I missed you guys!

Good for you for getting to the doctor and getting those supplements. Keep it up and definitely cut yourself some slack (and tell your family to do the same)-- your body needs to rest and restock its iron reserves!

Sorry you are draggin, but now you will perk up pretty quickly! The weather doesn't help either - winter one day, spring the next...

You can always repeat a week in C25K too if you feel you need it.
