Fugly Shoes

Yesterday I bought those shoes. I know they are ugly because when I opened my bag to show Chubby Hubby he gasped in horror. His exact word he used was HIDEOUS. When he has an opinion you know they have to be bad. He even asked if I paid money for them.

Why did I buy them if they are not up to the fashion code? Comfort. I am knocking on wood, make that pounding on wood because my feet have been treating me so well lately. My plantar fasciitis is doing so well. Instead of cute fashionable fun heels, I am wearing ugly but very comfortable clogs all for the sake of keeping my dogs happy.

I wear fugly shoes all the time, but I have to agree with CH...I wouldn't have paid money for those.

Hopefully they feel good.

As long as your feet feel good, who cares! Glad to hear the PF is doing well.

Oh the sacrifices we make for running . . . all of my cute heels are gathering dust in the back of the closet.

One of my students asked me if I had a race today. I said, "no, why?" he replied, "well you're wearing your running sneakers."

I used to wear high heels all of the time. In 1995 a "morton's neuroma" was found on my left foot, between my pinky toe and 4th toe. Despite various treaments, the only way to get it out was to cut it out. The surgeon had to cut some nerves there, so that part of my foot has been numb ever since. I almost never wear high heels now - maybe once or twice a year, for special occasions. So I too wear comfy but ugly shoes and sometimes strappy sandals. It's better than the pain from surgery.

I would totally have sex with those shoes!

Fugly shoes are always waaaay more willing to do "adventurous" stuff than those "pretty" shoes that never return my phone calls! So high and mighty! Think they're so great!

And stop calling them "fugly" because they're my girlfriend now!

I don't think they are THAT bad! I see lots of shoes like that by staff in the hospital. When you have to put countless hours on the tootsies at work-comfort is numero uno!
I'll be in St. Paul this Friday! Left note on FB!

When did you go through Baba's shoe closet?

I guess I am desensitized to these shoes, as everyone I work with wears them! They all rave about them. I never really thought of them as ugly, before.

I had Plantar Fasciitis, and found a pair of shoes that I swear worked a miracle on my feet! And.. I actually think they're pretty stylish. To put icing on the cake, they actually BURN calories, work my muscles and relieve my low back pain. YES- it does exist! www.chungshiusa.com check 'em out, at least try them on- for me, it was love at first step ;)

I too wear fugly shoes to work. I am on my feet constantly (the kids even ask me if I want to sit down while their working), pacing back and forth, and from time to time I a running after kids or putting them in physical holds, so I know I need to be comfortable. I don't want my kids going home and singing "hot for teacher". lol.
