Hump Day

Thanks for all the great comments yesterday concerning the conversation with my co-worker (aka Asshat).  Like I said, her words were not offensive to me because she is truly is kind of a moron.  I do find it funny that the people with the most opinions on running, usually aren't runners.

Anyone a Biggest Loser fan?  I am not a huge fan of the show primarily because all crying bugs me, but most of all, I save my TV watching for Jack Bauer Mondays (I will be so sad when the show is canceled).  I did not watch it last night.  Chubby Hubby, who is a fan, Tivo-ed the ending for me to watch before work this morning.  I learned that the contestant Sunshine was from my community and they showed several clips our 'hood.  It was kind of cool to see familiar spots on TV.   I don't know what kind of  person she was on the show, but she looks AMAZING!  Her before and after photos were great.   I loved her homecoming celebration.....even the mayor statue welcomed her home.

This mayor statue gets "dressed" all the time.  Any given day he has some sort of costume on.
I was glad that he was part of her homecoming.

 Yet another gray day

I am really tired of all of this rain.  This weather is making me feel lethargic.  Everything has been so gray and blah for the last week.  I am begging Mother Nature to send us some sun!!!  Friday can't come soon enough!

Gray and cloudy and rainy here too. I am really hoping for sun for Saturday..it is our neighborhood's big garage sale and I have a lot of junk to get rid of!

Love Sunshine...she was absolutely beautiful at her homecoming...it was so sad to see her go...So touching to see her reunited with her dad...this season's contestants were especially likeable...not as cut throat...maybe that's why they were more emotional...

I tivoed it to and watched it on the treadmill...I can always run longer when I watch them...it's a guilt thing....

i love the biggest loser. sunshine was fantastic, so was her dad. and yes the crying bugs me too, I tivo it and fast forward through about half of the show. It usually takes me about 45 minutes to watch the 2 hour show when i cut out the crying and commercials.

I love the biggest loser - but have to tivo it so I can skip all the crying and whining. It takes me about 20 minutes to watch a 2 hour show. :)

I am so sick of this shitastic weather! Hopefully it will improve this weekend.

I do watch BL, it's my first season watching, and I LOVED Sunshine & O'Neal. They were just GOOD people. Yea, there's one player on there who is just so weepy it makes me ill. I mean REALLY ill. So much that I DVR and just skip anytime he's having some kind of private heart to heart crying jag with National TV.

Just found you through another running blog and look forward to following your journey and success! Cute blog name, Carly!

i like BL to an extent... but yeah some of the 'same ol same ol' has gotten old/annoys me now. but you have that with most ever 'reality' tv show (for me anyway).

too true that most people with an opinion (/dumb comment) about running - don't do it! morons :)

Gonna try to comment again today as yesterday blogger did not like me at all. I love Biggest Loser most of the time and Sunshine was one of my favorite contestants this season, both her and her dad. What a great relationship. Plus I am a major Jillian fan. Yeah, there is a lot of crying but it ususally makes me cry too and something that is a good thing for this tough broad to let it out on occasion!

I used to love to watch TBL to be inspired by their losses, etc.

Now I watch it and I am inspired by the work I have done on my own and sustained in my weight loss.

When we all saw Eric Chopin (former winner of TBL) and all the weight he gained back....

I was inspired in that I have not gained it all back....I continue to lose on my own terms ;)

and the crying is a bit much sometimes.

Well, as the Carpenters sang, "Rainy days and Mondays always get me down."

Now Karen Carpenter ... there was someone with a runner's build! I think Asshat would agree. You could be like that, easy.

Just never eat another meal for the rest of your life.

Simple.

Don't you feel like an asshat for not figuring that out?
