Three Questions Thursday

I am looking for your opinions on:

1.  What kind of sunscreen/sunblock do you use?  Do you use the spray, lotion, or gel? Separate stuff for the face?

2.  What kinds of dietary supplements/vitamins do you take? Do you get them from a specialty store or at Target (or similar place)?

3.  What is your favorite song on your music playlist? 

Happy Thursday!  I am so glad tomorrow is Friday.  For a short week, this has certainly felt long!!!

I can answer the sun screen one. To me it's worth it to pay a little more for sunscreen for the face. I really like clinique for their sunscreen for my face, it doesn't sting. Then for the rest of me, the "sports" sweat proof ones but honestly I sweat so much I can't imagine that the sunblock is helping. Local running stores may have options!

Spray on sunscreen. Usually use a hat to cover the face because of sweating.

I use the Target brand spray suncreen for exercising outside. If I'm going to be outside for a long time I use the No Ad brand as a good, thick base. I also use Oil of Olay face moisterizer that has an SPF in it on my face. I'm currently hosting a giveaway and a bottle of the spray sunblock is one of the prizes!

I take a women's one-a-day multivitamin. I buy the Target brand though.

1. I am looking for a great sports sunblock. I use oil free on my face but it still gets in my eyes and STINGS when I sweat. Ouch!!

2. I just take Vitamin C... probably should take a women's multi too.

3. Too many faves! Um, I'm loving Orianthi right now!

I do the spray suntan lotion :) I do not take any vitamins because my diet should be balanced enough to get what I need. Other than that, I do not have a favorite for the music. Have a great night!

I can't help you with the last two, but I have definite opinions. I prefer to use the mineral based ones rather than the chemical ones. My personal favorite is Badger brand. It goes on really well for the thicker mineral based ones and doesn't seem to run as much.

For non-exercise use, I like Origins moisturizer with sunscreen.

1. I like the spray stuff. My favorite one for me is Neutrogena is sweat proof and not at all greasy. I use face moisturizer with SPF for my face.
2. I take a calcium pill at night...generic brand.
3. I am ashamed to admit, but right now I am liking running to Lady gaga...ugh!

1. If I'm going to be outside I use neutrogena ultra sheer. Regular day I just use whatever is in my lotion.

2. I have calcium - it sits on my counter. Again something I know I should be doing. Citracal so I can take it without regard to food (not that I take it).

Sunscreen I use lotion..and I don't care what brand as long as it's 50spf or above and sweatproof.

Diet supplements..I take 1000mg Calcium, prenatals twice I'm not knocked up..and B12. I buy store brand. I take most of this because of the Gastric Bypass Surgery...although I suppose I should be taking vitamins anyways..

Favorite song? All of em!

Spray on sunscreen on my arms/shoulders/neck. Regular moisturizer with SPF on my face.

Fish oil is the best thing you can take as an athlete. I also like glucosamin chondroitin and a daily multi. Plus I think they should just be anti depressants in the water. THe world would be a better place.

Gaga totally rocks to run to, and I also like the Wicked soundtack or anything else I can sing to!

1. Spray lotion on my body. It's in an orange can. Sport something. And a rub lotion for my face. I have sensitive skin. neutrgena ultra sheer dry touch.

2. No dietary supplements for me. Don't believe in them.

3. I'm really liking Ke$ha right now on my running play list.

Whatever is in the cabinet at the time is the sunscreen of choice. If I'm trying to push it a little, I love me some TuPac......

I use the Target Sports sunscreen, but for my face I use Lancome moisturizer with spf - and I wear a hat or visor most of the time.

I take the Nature Made multi-vitamin, it's easy on the tummy, and some extra magnesium to keep migraines at bay... and when I have the funds I like Horse Chestnut supplements for leg vein health (family history of phlebitis.) Damn - I take a lot of supplements!

I love running to the Pussycat Dolls, gets me in a good groove.

1. On my face I use a lotion--Aveeno Positively Ageless SPF 100. On my body, I use a Banana Boat Sport spray.

2. I don't take any supplements.

3. I just did a playlist with a bunch of older, corny songs on it. I am loving The Proclaimers "I'm Gonna Be." haha Remember that one? "I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more..." Yeah. I don't know what's wrong with me.

I use a SPF 20 or better on my face, before make-up (Nutrigena, right now, but am not picky). I always use sunblock 30 or better if I'm going to be outside where I might get sun (e.g. when running, hiking, or watching sports outdoors)--I use whatever's handy, but prefer sprays. I re-apply often. I had a malignant melanoma three years ago. Very scary. I'm a believer.

I take a multi vitamin, whatever brand, appropriate to my age and sex.

1. I use the continuous spray stuff for sun screen, and sometimes it comes with a stick, so I use the stick for the faces.

2. I know I should take vitamins, but I don't. I have heard that vitamin D is especially important here in the North country.

3. Hmmmm. I don't know, I like Bon Jovi, and the Rolling Stones, but I am not a big music junkie. I like Michael Franti too, he is a bit more up to date.

1) I use vanicream sport spf 35 - i have to mail order it - i'm allergic to practically everything, but I can wear this daily without issue.

2) move free advanced (for knees/joints), fish oil, primrose oil (has to do with my skin issue), and a calcium/magnesium/zinc (for muscles, bones,& ligaments).

3) too many favorites!

I'm terrible about sunscreen. And I don't take any supplements. (I'm probably going to die soon.)

My current favorite songs are Kesha Your love is my drug (yes, I am 13) and that Airplanes song.

1. I've been using Neutrogena spray on suncreen and their lotion for my face.

2. I have a cupboard full of vitamins and dietary supplements that I never take.

3. Lots of them, but right now I like Nickleback's "Rock Star" when I run because it makes me laugh. I also like Lily Allen's "Smile"

1. I use Coppertone Sport SPF 30 Spray. Here in Canada it is available in most stores, so I am sure Target carries it!

2. I take a Womens One a Day and a 1000mg Vitamin C Tablet that I swallow! Two very big pills first thing in the morning!

3. Currently I am running with no music. And it feels really good!

1. Don't. Well, on the rare occasion use that new Neutrogena stuff. Recomended by hub's skin cancer doctor.

2. Vitamin E because Dr. Oz says to. Vitamin B complex because I tested low. Fintstones multi because they taste good and I hate vegetables.

Found your blog from RLAM.

I bought and tried the spray on sunscreen-some kind of super sport stuff that isn't greasy at all, high spf (like 85) and highly waterproof--won't sweat off, or be washed off by rain. It broke me out in a TERRIBLE rash that lasted about 4 days!!

I only recently started taking supplements. I'm 40, have arthritis and only recently started running. I've had some bone "issues". I take something called "Bone Up" that has a lot of good stuff for bones ...yeah, duh..., I also take calcium, vitamin D, and fish oil. When I'm not on the injured list I take Sport Legs for longer runs (for me that means 5-6 miles).

Currently my favorite running song is "Gonna Fly Now" (my 6/1/10 post explains why). Before 5/31/10 my favorite song was (and will be again when after Rocky gets old) "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO (because this song never fails to get me going, and never gets old).

I know its a little late but as a Melanoma survivor my derm says to use a full spectrum spray on sunscreen like Neutrogena 70+ w/ Helioplex. I need to be able to get to places I can't actually reach to rub in without help. I do use an ultra sheer lotion for my face and it doesn't seem to run or feel oily. I got these in a big package at Costco but also have picked them up at Target.
